Chapter 6 - Kaden (TGRU)

Me and Xandra walked out of school together, not holding hands, even though I really wanted to. We were talking and didn't even notice who just walked past.
"Oh hi." I heard that voice I hated so damn much, the voice of the one who has tormented me since I started doing to this damn school, Kaden.
"Xandra, go, now." I ordered in a half whisper, just loud enough for her to hear.
"Why?" She asked bumping the back of her hand into my hand.
"What are you not going to reply you little bitch?" Kaden said pushing me, I almost fell but I stood my ground.
"Let's go." I said to Xandra.
"Your not leaving just yet are you?" He asked.
"Actually, we are." I said I started to walk away but only to be pushed to the ground. I expected this to happen, he would never let me get away that easily. I tried to get up only to be pushed again. This time I was kicked in the stomach. I yelped in pain.
"Jess!" Xandra said drawing the attention of Kaden to her for a moment.
"You got yourself a little girlfriend?" He sang evilly.
"Don't you dare-" I grunted as I got back up only to be pushed and kicked again. Damn it! I can't even stand up for my own girlfriend!
"Stop it!!" Xandra yelled at him hitting her fists into his back. He just pushed her off and she fell to the ground but before he could start beating the shit out of her someone yelled his name from across the school grounds, it wasn't a teacher, it was a student. After he got a bit closer I could tell who it was, it was the blond guy from class.
"Kaden." He said "We need to get home, mom's going to get worried."
"Mom can wait a damn minute well I teach these guys a fucking lesson Leo."
"Kaden." Leo said.
"Alright, alright." He replied with a sigh. "We will continue this tomorrow." He said to us then left.
"Are you okay?" Xandra asked getting up and walking over to me with a extremely worried expression.
"Y-yeah I'm fine," I grunted and got up with a bit of struggle seeing the pain my stomach "Couple cuts and bruises, I've been through worse."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah. Maybe a bruise or two. Not to bad thanks to whoever that Leo guy was."
"Yeah... I seen him in classes a lot today..." I said looking in the direction they had walked. "You think he's the brother of that bastard?"
"Maybe..." She shrugged then grimaced.
"You okay?" I asked.
"Yeah I'm fine." She said with a smile.
"Okay..." I said looking at her.
"Wanna go back to the cafe or something today or maybe a park?" She asked after a couple minutes, her eyes lit up at the second thing she had said.
"Sound good." I said. She smiled at me and took my hand and started to walk. We hadn't walked too far before I stumbled a bit and leaned into her arm. I hadn't noticed until now how much my ankle hurt I guess I twisted it or something when I was pushed.
"You okay?" Xandra asked turning towards me and grabbing my other arm to steady me.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine. My ankle just hurts a bit." I said.
"Here." She said taking my backpack and wrapping my arm around her shoulder. "Just lean on me."
"You really don't-"
"I want to, don't worry." She said with a smile. She walked me back to her house.
"I thought we were going to a park?" I asked.
"Well, that can wait a day or two until you're feeling better." She said.
"No, no, I don't want to ruin our plans..." I said.
"There just delayed, not ruined." She said with a smile.
"I guess..." I said. 'Seriously! Do I have to ruin everything!?'
"Cheer up!" She said with a smile "We can watch youtube and I can make you some hot chocolate! It will be a awesome day!"
I smiled back and we went inside. Xandra sat our backpacks next to the door and took my hand to lead me towards the kitchen but my ankle really hurt and I stumbled a bit again. What the hell is wrong with me?!
"Come on, I'll get you some ice." She said before leading me up to her room. I sat on her bed and she went back downstairs to get some ice. I laid back and stared at her ceiling, I hadn't noticed until now how much I ached because of Kaden and his shit. "You okay?" I heard Xandra ask and I sat up.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I said. She handed me a ice pack and I put it on my ankle.
"You sure?" She asked.
"Yeah." I said with a smile.
"Well I guess I'll believe you..." She said "I have hot cocoa cooking downstairs so I'll be right back."
"Alright." I said and looked back down at my ankle. She lifted up my chin and kissed me before leaving the room. I scooted back on her bed so I could prop up my foot properly.
Xandra came back a couple minutes later with the hot chocolate. She handed me a mug then went over to the other side of her bed to get her laptop. She sat her mug on her desk then sat at the head on her bed leaning on the wall, her laptop sitting on her lap. She clicked the power button.
"Come here." She said patting the bed next to her. I scooted over a bit so we were only sitting inches away from each other. Her screen lit up, same background as before yet now I know the other people in the picture, they were YouTubers. She clicked on her internet then went on youtube.
I sipped my hot cocoa "Mmm yum." I smiled.
"Told ya I made good hot cocoa." Xandra said.
"And you weren't lying." I said with a smile "This is really good."
"Thanks." She said with a smile. She typed in KickThePj into the search bar we watched some newer videos by him and some other peoples videos that had been uploaded since yesterday then a couple older ones I hadn't seen yet.

We hung out and watched videos until six. Her mom got me to stay for dinner but I had to go home right after. Xandra walked me up to my door, same as she did yesterday.
"Your ankle okay?" She asked.
"Much better." I said with a smile.
"Good." She smiled back "So what about tomorrow?" She asked.
"What about tomorrow?" I asked.
"The park. You think you'll be okay?" She asked.
I smiled "Yeah I'll be fine."
"Okay, good." She smiled.
"Okay." I smiled back.
Xandra leaned to kiss me but the door open and she jumped back and almost fell on the porch.
"Oh, hi." My mom said in surprise holding a garbage bag.
"Hey mom." I said.
"Hi, Jess's mum." Xandra said.
"This is Xandra." I said.
"That name seems familiar..." My mom said squinting at Xandra.
"We used to be friends in middle school, you probably remember from then." I said.
"Oh...." I mom said then realization on her face "What'd you do to your hair?" my mom asked grabbing at the pink striped part of Xandra's hair.
"Mom." I said.
"Your hair used to look so nice..." My mom said still in shock.
"She likes her hair like this." I said.
My mom put her hand back to her side "But why would you do that to your hair? And your make up?" My mom asked completely astounded.
"Sorry but my mum wants me home so I have to go..." Xandra said.
"I'll walk you down the road." I said.
"You don't-" She started.
"Come on." I said grabbing her arm and walking her off the porch and down the street. My mom went back inside after putting the trash in the dumpster and as soon as she closed the door I started apologizing.
"It's okay, don't worry about it. It's not like she flat out called me ugly or something." She said with a little laugh.
"Your not ugly at all. If she had said that I may have punched her."
"You would've punched your mum..." She laughed.
"I might. It would be her own fault anyway, no one insults my girlfriend." I said.
Xandra laughed "I love you." She said wrapping her arms around my neck.
"I love you too." I said wrapping my arms around her waist, pulling her closer so there was barely even air between us. She closed the small gap and kissed me. I kissed her back. She pulled away. "Hmm?" I asked.
"I don't want to get you caught making out with me in the middle of the pavement." She said.
"It's worth the risk." I said with a smirk "Wait, pavement?" I said.
"Oh, sidewalk." She said in her most ridiculous "american" accent.
"Oh... So you call the sidewalk pavement in British land?" I asked.
"British land? Really?" She asked with a laugh.
I laughed. Xandra kissed me "I really don't want to but I gotta get home, it'll be dark soon and my mum will kill me if I'm out after dark."
"Oh, okay..." I said putting my arms to my sides. Xandra pulled me into another kiss then removed her arms from my shoulders "Bye..." She said standing a foot away from me.
"Bye..." I said.
She kissed my cheek before walking down the street. I stood there a bit before turning around and going back to my house.
"Jess?" My mom said as soon as I came inside.
"Mhm?" I said back walking towards her voice.
"I'm not sure if that girl is a good influence on you." My mom said.
"What?" I asked 'If anything I'm a bad influence on her. She a fucking good influence on me!'
"I don't want you being around someone like that..." My mom said.
"Like what?"
"Someone who dyes their hair, it's horrible."
"You dye your hair." I snapped back without thinking.
"Jess." She took a deep breath "Jess, dear, I just don't want you being around someone like that."
"Like what? She's not a bad person."
"As far as you know." Mom said under her breath.
"Mother. She is not a bad person, I can promise you that. She is one of the best people I know!" I said a bit louder than I meant too.
"Jess." My mother said looking a bit angry at me.
"You can't judge someone from how they look. That's racism. I doesn't matter if it's the colour of their skin or the colour of their hair! You can't just judge someone you don't even know!" I started shouting at this point.
"I know what's best for you." My mom said.
"No, no you don't. You only just met her for a minute. Before you decide if you don't want me being around her or not at least talk to her. She's a good person."
"I'll think about it." She sighed.
"Good." I said with a smirk. 'I won!!'
"Now go to your room and do your homework." My mom said the anger back in he tone.
"Okay." I said and went up to my room. I turned on my CD player and started working on my homework as Xandra and I texted.
